With accidents at an all-time high, PSI and ISRI have made safety issues a top priority for their members and the industry. ISRI’s expanded safety program includes a variety of tools designed to train employees, reduce the time management spends on required safety paperwork, and, most important, create a better and safer workplace.

ISRI Safety Consulting Services, a unique program for scrap facilities, brings safety professionals to scrap yards to help identify and solve safety issues before they become accidents. The consultants confer with management teams, train employees, and prepare and modify the written programs and reports that together comprise the violations most often cited by OSHA.

The ISRI National Safety Committee provides a forum in which safety issues can be discussed openly and thoroughly among safety professionals and coordinators.
